Is Soft Serv just for colleges?
No. Schools can use it for classroom practice, and organizations can use it for staff training. You create the situations and grading criteria to fit the skills you want people to develop.
What’s the difference between a simulation and an assessment?
In a simulation, a learner practices a conversation with an AI character, such as a patient or client. In an assessment, the AI asks questions and follow-ups to check the learner’s understanding. You can set the grading criteria for either.
Can we use our own scenarios and rubrics?
Yes. You choose the situation, character, instructions, and grading rubric. AI can help draft an activity, and you can try it yourself before assigning it.
Can we review the AI’s feedback?
Yes. You can review submissions, transcripts, and available recordings alongside the AI’s scores and feedback. You also choose the number of attempts and whether learners can see their results.
Do we need Canvas to use it?
No. Students and teams can use Soft Serv directly. If you use Canvas, you can also launch activities there and send grades back to your gradebook.
